George Fu is working with renowned concert pianist Susan Starr in Philadelphia

Leah Claiborne (TJ High School, 2008) is now studying with Dr. Marc Silvermann at the Manhattan School of Music.

Matt Albright (Piano performance & Piano Pedagogy, 2004) is the Advanced Musical Studies instructor at the Thomas Jefferson Magnet School.  He also teaches privately and is a music director at a church.

Kathleen Anders-Musser (Piano Performance, 1999) is working on her doctorate in musicology at Catholic University, where she also has a teaching assistantship.  She maintains her own private piano studio and also teaches class piano and applied piano at Shepherd University.

Ruth Carson (Piano Pedagogy, 2004) maintains a private studio in Frederick, Maryland and is active in the West Virginia Music Teachers’ Association

Virginia Cover (Music Education, 2003) got her Masters of Divinity and is about to be ordained as a Lutheran pastor in Pennsylvania.  She is married to a former Shepherd Music major and piano student Curtis Glidewell (Music Education, 2005).

Phillip Geiman (Jefferson High School, 2007) will be attending the University of Maryland, College Park.  He is majoring in engineering and will be part of the Honors program.

Shizue Haffeman-Udagawa (Urbana High School, 2007) will be attending Johns Hopkins University pursuing a degree in medical engineering.

Josh Horsh finished his Bachelor’s degree in piano performance at Ithaca College in 2006.

Seth Long (Music Education, 2004) is attending the Peabody Conservatory pursuing a master’s degree in Music Education.  He has done a great deal of research into performance anxiety with asthmatic musicians and presented papers at a number of conferences.

Michael Pettry (Composition and Piano Performance, 2003) got his M. M. at the Tisch School of Music at NYU studying Music Theater Composition.   Michael has received several commissions and recently was the recipient of a Jonathan Larson Grant.  Check him out at www.mikepettry.com.

Rachel Rabat (Frederick High School, 2006) is attending Shepherd University as a graphic design major.
